Less than 12 miles away is the historic town of Gueret, renowned for its architecture and botanical garden, whilst in the welcoming surrounding villages there is ample opportunity to savour the local wines and cuisine. With only an hour and fifteen minutes from the airport, and forty minutes from the connecting railway station from Paris.

The perfect base for a family summer holiday or for friends at any time of the year.

There are numerous summer-time activities available in the vicinity including horse riding and water sports, as well as interesting churches and local shops to discover. For a more romantic setting, there is the old world charm of village cafes and idyllic strolls through the beautiful countryside.

It is only a 3 minute walk to reach the swimming lake nearby (see pictures), which also has a play area for children.

The Cottage

Lovingly restored, this spacious cottage is fully equipped with modern conveniences in a traditional setting. We have three bedrooms upstairs.  One with en-suite with luxury double shower and a separate bathroom with corner bath. The master bedroom has an en suite bathroom with power shower and full size bath, while pride of place in the kitchen is an Aga cooker, which also provides heating for the cottage in the winter. There is also a separate laundry room.

The front door opens into the bright and airy open-plan ground floor living and kitchen area, which has been tastefully decorated and furnished with comfortable sofas and a large extendable dining table to comfortably seat eight people. The triple-aspect room has wood flooring and a well-equipped, newly-fitted kitchen (a washing machine and tumble drier are supplied in the bathroom). A colour TV, and a DVD / CD player are provided for your entertainment, complete with Sky TV, All linen, gas and electric are included. Features including a granite fireplace, with solid-fuel burner and full central-heating make this a perfect all-year round venue.

The generously sized living room is ideal for relaxing evenings and leads out to the back yard, which is the perfect setting for a summer barbeque. The first floor accommodates two rooms and a luxury bathroom. A smaller bedroom is located on the ground floor, along with another luxury bathroom with shower.
